Description
   A collection of responsa to R. Moses Muenz, R. Samuel b. Ezekiel Landau, R. Solomon Margolis, R. Baruch b. Josiah Jeiteles, his brother Hayyim, and other contemporary scholars. With an appendum entitled Palgei Mayim, containing a number of the Author's talmudic novellae.

R. Ber Oppenheim, (c. 1760-1850), German rabbi and scholar, studied at the yeshivah of Fuerth and then proceeded to Berlin. His contributions to Bikkurei ha-Ittim are written in an attractive Hebrew style, and he carried on correspondence with R. Moses Israel Landau, R. Isaac Samuel Reggio, and R. Solomon Judah Loeb Rapoport. He later settled in Pressburg (Bratislava), living there in favorable financial circumstances and engaging mainly in talmudic studies.
