R. Abraham Eisenstein (1798-1885) of Pinsk, emigrated to Zfat in 1833 and was appointed to the Bet Din of the Pe'at Ha'Shulhan. After his family perished in the earthquake of 1837 (a young daughter survived), he moved to several European communities prior to settling in Jerusalem. In a 20 year project he edited the Shita Mekubetzet on Kudshim from several manuscripts. His name appears in many public announcements and circulars with other famous period rabbis.
