Description		    Two works bound together by the pious sage and kabbalist, R. Saul ben David Nahmias, who served as rabbi in Morocco. The first, Va-Yomer Shaul, is on parshat Bere’shit, the second, Beit Sha’ul, on Nevi'im Rishonim. There are approbations and an introduction from the author’s son, R. Solomon Nahmias, who brought the book to press. The text begins by recounting miracles that befell the author (1-8) and concludes with a piyyut from R. Solomon Nahmias (7-8). This is followed by the commentary on parshat Bere’shit according to peshat ("the literal meaning"), remez (hint, i.e., veiled allusions such as gematria, and notarikon), derash (homiletical interpretation), and sod (esoteric interpretation).

Beit Sha’ul has its own title page, the approbations, the introduction from R. Solomon (3-6), and discourses on Judges and Samuel.

R. Saul Nahmias was also the author of va-Yegad le- Sha’ul (on midrashim), va-Yeshmah Sha’ul (on Orah Hayyim, Hanukah, and matters revealed to him in dreams), Kodesh Hillulim (on Rashi and R. Elijah Mizrahi), as well as other works on the Zohar, siddur, and other subjects, several of these are still in manuscript.

על נביאים וכתובים... דברים עמוקים [על דרך הקבלה]... אשר פעל... ר' שאול נחמיאש זלה"ה [בן]... ר' דוד זלה"ה. הועתק... הובא לבית הדפוס... ע"י... שלמה נחמיאש... בן המחבר... עם הסכמת רבני מקנאסא, שנדפסה בספרו גבעת שאול. נדפס יחד עם ספרו ויאמר שאול. הדפסת הספר לא נשלמה, נפסק באמצע ההדפסה.
