Description
   Suffering from a three year famine, the Moroccan Jewish Community in Jerusalem sent this heart breaking appeal to the "West Interior": Gibraltar; Lisbon, Portugal(!); Madura; Peru; Brazil; Tetouan; Tangiers; Arzilla; Larache; Kasr Ouezan; Fez; Meknes; Sefrou; Debdou; Arabat; Mogador; Marakech; Sous; Tafilelt; and several more cities. Invoking the eternal resident of the Kotel Ma'aravi (Western Wall) and Jerusalem it begs Jews to assist. The appeal is signed by 24 leading Moraccan rabbis:
