Description
   Letter to R. Aaron Mendel ha-Kohen in Cairo regarding his unsuccessful attempt to reinstitute rabbinical ordination for a High Court of Judges. R. Abraham Judah b. Isaac Meir Schwartz (b. 1882) was a prominent Rabbi in Hungary, among the communities he served in are Hayves, in 1909 he was appointed rabbi in Maroshewiz, 1930 in Toplitza. His name appears in many Hungarian responsa and appears to have been a talmudical scholar of note. He perished in the Holocaust.
