Detailed
Description
Segulot to be recited in times of trouble. The front wrapper, in bluish paper, states that these are difficult times, troubles and harsh decrees having come upon us, in the Holy Land and throughout the world. Particularly difficult are the tribulations and accusations facing our brothers in Russia. It further states that all of us are in need of great mercy. Therefore we beseech all of our brothers, the children of Israel, that each and every day, after morning prayers, they read this pamphlet, to seek mercy for all our brothers, the children of Israel. The concluding paragraph states that through this the Holy One, Blessed be He, will deliver us from our successive troubles and from our enemies. The segulot to be said are from R. Isaac Luria (ha-Ari, 1534-72); R. Hayyin Palaggi, from chapter two of his Refuot ve-Hayyim; and R. Hayyim Joseph David Azulai, (Hida, 1724–1806). Ahenu ha-Yekarim is a rare work, not recorded in most bibliographies. This copy retains its original wrappers.
R. Jacob Joseph Monce (1881-1954) was the Rosh Yeshiva of Emet ve-Shalom in Jerusalem.
Paragraph 2
