Description		    Hameshei Humshei Torah in five volumes. The text is in vocalized square letters enclosed in a border. The title page informs that there are a small number of marginalia from Samuel David Luzzatto (Shadal, 1800–1865), the renowned Italian scholar, philosopher, Bible commentator, and translator, here described as an instructor (moreh) in the Bet Midrash ha-Rabbunim (rabbinical college) in Padua, where Shadal spent most of his life. Haftarot are at the end of each volume. At the end of Genesis are the names of the tamim according to the order of the Ashkenazim, Sephardim, and Italian Jewry. This is a complete set of Hameshei Humshei Torah. In contrast, the copy in the JNUL is incomplete.

The front leaf of each of the five volumes has a handwritten inscription in Hebrew stating that it is a gift, for a remembrance, from Joseph Samuel Koriel to his beloved, dear to his heart, Nathan Almosninu [the Lord should keep and watch over him], Bucharest, in the month of Tishrei 5661 (1900). Below that is the date of death of Nathan Almosninu, 4 Heshvan, 5661 (Saturday, October 27, 1900). Below these inscriptions is an additional inscription in another hand in French, dated October 15, 1915 stating that it is Souvenir a mon bien Aimes neveu Samuel D. Cohen, with a signature that is not clear.
