Detailed
Description		    Yalkut ha-Zohar in Ladino. The title page, with a decorative border, has a Hebrew text stating that it bright and clear, all evident, explained in the vernacular. Two hundred forty eight ma’amorim as the number of the limbs, and from which have been taken words of musar, from the tanna R. Shimon bar Yohai and his followers, holy and pure, all mighty: all upright, straightforward, “sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb” (Psalms 19:11). The title page is dated with the chronogram, “the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance לזכר עולם יהיה צדיק (637=1877)” (Psalms 112:6). The final paragraph is a caution concerning hasagut gevul, that is, a prohibition against reprinting this work for a period of ten years, from the completion of printing. The verso of the title page has a preface from Isaac Samuel di Segura, the printer, followed by approbations, which name the compiler of Leket ha-Zohar as R. Abraham Finzi. Next is the author’s introduction and then the text, which is in a single column in rabbinic type, excepting headers and initial words. The volume concludes with a list of the names of the bnei Yisrael, the individuals who supported publication.
