Homiletical commentary to the Torah, Includes responsa in the case of a young Pittsburgh woman, whose estranged spouse, in London, commanded his father to write a divorce decree to his wife as he will travel and never return. The wife after 14 years as Agunah, turns to R. Ziwitz, for relief and a divorce decree.
R. Moses Simeon b. Ezekiel Ziwitz (1852-1936) was born in Tytovenai, Lituannia and emigrated to the US in 1886. He served as Pittsburgh's Chief Rabbi till his passing in 1936. He is the author of many erudite works in all facets of rabbinical scholarship. |
