A picture of the Nozyk Synagogue in Warsaw.
Nozyk, a wealthy Jew, built the Synagogue in 6 Twarda St., Warsaw, in the late 19th century. This is the only remaining synagogue in Warsaw as it was situated outside the Ghetto. During the holocaust the Nazis used it as a horse stable. In the picture it is shown in a dilapidated state after a long period of neglect. Later the synagogue was restored and today it acts as the center for Warsaw Jewry.
