Description		    Classic work of Hassidus by R. Solomon ha-Kohen Rabinowich of Radomsk. There are two title pages, the first has the subtitle on times (zmanim) and festivals, the second, more detailed, has the subtitle on the holiness of the festivals, and informs that as the author’s name is Solomon ùìîä so is his learning complete ùìéîä. There is a warning against confusing the non-Jews of the time of the Talmud with those of present times, for the former were cruel and persecuted the Jews in contrast to our neighbors who treat us well. There are several approbations, a lengthy introduction, and the text, which, beginning with Birkat ha-Torah, encompasses prayer, Shema, Shabbat, Rosh HaShanah, Yom Kippur, and the festivals, and Hanukkah and Purim. Tiferet Shelomo includes a lengthy section on remazei Purim and remazi Pesah. There is also a section on Pirke Avot. The volume concludes with errata.

R. Solomon ha-Kohen Rabinowich of Radomsk (1803–1866), a hasidic zaddik studied in the yeshivah of Piotrkow under R. Abraham Zevi, author of the responsa Berit Avraham (1819). His father educated him in Hasidism. In his youth R. Solomon joined R. Meir of Apta, leader of the popular trend in Polish Hasidism after the death of R. Jacob Isaac ha-Hozeh ("the Seer") of Lublin. In 1834 R. Solomon was appointed rabbi of Radomsk, and from 1843 he was accepted as a hasidic rabbi. R. Solomon's teachings were in the spirit of the popular trend of Polish Hasidism. He engaged in public affairs and worked on behalf of the poor of his town. His striking personality, his enthusiastic way of praying, and his witty sayings attracted to him many disciples, among them the Hasid and philosopher Aaron Marcus (Verus) and the physician Hayyim David Bernard of Piotrkow.
