Description
The R. Eliezer Zevi b. Isaac Judah Jehiel Safrin (1830-1898), Rebbe of Komarno copy, with his inscription on the title and several single word notes on few pp. R. Eliezer Zevi, born in Z'ydaczow, was a noted rabbinical, chassidic, and kabbalistic scholar. He wrote: Ben Beite (Przemysl 1900) commentary on the Pentateuch; Damesek Eleizer in six volumes (Przemysl-Munkacz 1902-28) commentary on the Zohar; Ohr Eineiyim (Przemysl 1882-85) kabbalistic work; Ben Beite (Uzhgorod 1926) commentary on Psalms; and several more works. He passed on in Komarno.
