Description		    R. Hanoh Zevi b. Phinehas Jacob Levine (1871-1935) was the son in law of R. Judah Aryeh Loeb Alter, Rebbe of Gur and author of the Sefat Emet. He was raised in Gur and lived in Gur till WWI. In 1921 he was selected as rabbi of Bendin, a position he held until his passing. An erudite rabbinical scholar, he wrote many works, some of which were printed posthumously by his son Isaac Meir Levin, the Leader of the Agudah.
