Detailed Description |
|
Broadside admonishing rabbis who extended a Sefer Torah (Bible scroll) on Simhat Torah to the Supreme Court Judge Hayyim Kohen. Kohen (1911-2002) served on the court from 1960-1981 and was noted for his anti-religous decisions. Born to an Orthodox family in Germany he rebelled at an early age and developed a lifelong hatred to religous Jews. He derided the observant and constantly ruled againt them. The boardside, in strong language, expresses dismay at the rabbis who gave Kohen the honor of holding a Torah he does not adhere to nor beleive in. |
