Description |

Liturgies and supplications for women in German (Hebrew letters) for various occasions. The work is the first attempt made to edit the tehinnot in a modern language. The collection entitled "Gebetbuch för Gebildete Frauenzimmer Mosaischer Religion," (Prayerbook for Educated Women of the Moses (Jewish) Religion) was first printed in Breslau, 1833. This lot as well as the first edition are in Hebrew characters; a later edition was transliterated into German type by S. Blogg.
