Description		    R. Samuel b. Meir Reinitz (1872-1944) was born in Kantorjanosi, Hungary. He was the granchild of R. Joshua Baruch Reinitz (1823–1912), rabbi of Balkany and then Galszecs and son-in-law of R. Moses Sofer, rabbi of Tiszafired. An erudite tamudic scholar he was rabbi in Petervasara from 1894 onward. R. Samuel wrote several scholarly works including: Ollelot Ephraim (Mukachevo 1914) on the biography of the Sofer family; Arugat ha-Bosem (Paks 1911-12) novellae; Shaarei Nehama (Vac 1916) homoletics and several other works. He perished in the Holocaust.
