Description
Only edition of these novellae on Shulhan Arukh Yoreh De’ah by R. Nissin and R. Joseph Gertenberg The title page has a decorative border and informs that it is Part one on Shulhan Arukh Yoreh De’ah (there is no indication in bibliographic sources that any other parts were ever printed). R. Nissin is from Priluki, R. Joseph served as rabbi in three communities in Moldavia, Akna, Azad, and Damonisht, and in the city of Hartz, and in the large city of Vasilkov. The verso of the title page has approbations from R. Benjamin Aryeh ha-Kohen Weiss, Av Bet Din Czernowitz, and a second approbation with twenty four rabbinic signatories. There is are two introductions, the second from the son and grandson of the authors, which concludes with verse that includes the initial letters of his name and of those of the authors and their fathers. Next is a page of kellalim of Issur ve-heter (áàå"ä) concluding with a tail-piece of a cornucopia. The text follows, in two columns in rabbinic type, excepting headers and initial letters. Mayyim Rabbim is comprised of two parts, Petuhei Hosem and Zitz Zahav, the former in the outer column, the latter in the inner column. The volume concludes with a page of errata.
