Detailed
Description
On the cantillation symbols for the Bible.

Henrici Opitii (Henricus Opitius or Heinrich Opitz) (1642-1712), German orientalist and professor of Greek and divinity at Kiel, is best known for his edition of the Hebrew Old Testament, published at Kiel in 1709. Opitz corrected the second edition of the Athias bible, according to his readings of seventeen of the best previous editions and of several manuscripts. He supervised the proof in person, and even the type is remarkable for its size and clearness, so that this edition was considered the most accurate extant.
