Description
   R. Hayyim Hager (1862-1932), rebbe and descendent of the Vizhnitz hasidic dynasty, was born in Vizhnitz to his father R. Baruch the rebbe of Vizhnitz, author of Imrei Barukh (1912). One of nine brothers and three brother-in-laws who were hasidic rabbis. In 1873, R. Hayyim moved to Ottynia where he established his dynasty. He attracted a huge following and many disciples came for his advice and blessings. During the World War I, R. Hayyim moved to Vienna and then settled in Stanislawow. He passed on in Cracow and was interred in Stanislawow. A collection of his writings, Nemukei Hayyim, was published in Tel-Aviv in 1960.
