R. Judah b. Solomon ha-Kohen (d. 1850) was apparently born in Jerusalem, trained there, was a member of the Kabbalistic Yeshiva Bet El, and served as Judge in the Rabbinical Court. An erudite talmudic and kabbalistic scholar, he is reputed to have never left Jerusalem except in his later years when he was sent to Tunis as an emissary. He died in Tunis and was buried there.
