Description		    Opening prayer service and sermon delivered at the international conference of Jewish Associations for the Protection of Girls & Women. This London based group sought to protect women and girls from being sold into bondage by untoward individuals. The problem was severe enough for a committee to be formed, led by distinguished British Jews and Jewesses. The group formed in the late 19th century had over the years such distinguished members as Haham Moses Gaster, Chief Rabbi of the British Spanish and Portuguese Congregations, R. Naftali Adler, Chief Rabbi of the British Empire, Emma Rothschild, Lady Montefiore, and Moro.
