Verse for children. The original cover, included, describes it as book two, parables. There is a picture of a boy, holding a harp standing before a tree. At his side is a goat and rabbit and at his foot a cat is drinking milk. The verso of the title page has a list of twenty three books on education and learning Bible available from Toshea. The back cover lists additional publications. The title page describes Ha-Kinnor as a collection of poems and parables for children. Below, at the bottom of the page, is Cyrillic text with publisher’s information. A table of contents lists twenty five poems within the book. The text is in a single column in square vocalized Hebrew. The volume is a compilation from various authors, whose names appear at the end of each poem. Ha-Kinnor is made up of verse, parables, and stories. It begins with the farmer and the mouse, includes items such as the plant in winter, and the ladder, concluding with the Western Wall, and men of the army. The verso of the front cover has a library card pasted in from ha-Sifriah ha-Ivrit of the Talmud Torah in Cleveland. The back covers also have cards from that institution.
