Description		    A book concerning women by Samuel Friedrich Bucher, in Latin, Greek and with some Hebrew. The full title of this work is Antiquitates Hebraicae et Graecae selectae, seu de conclusis Hebraeorum ac Graecorum feminis, vulgo: Vom verschlossnem Frauenzimmer der Hebraeer und Griechen, etc. The title page is primarily in red. The text is in a single column, primarily in Latin but with Greek and less Hebrew.

Bucher (1692-1765) was a German archaeologist who lived in Regersdorf and was a professor of classics in Wittenberg and rector of the gynasium. He wrote a number of works on biblical and classical themes. This work was apparently first issued in 1715 as De Velato Hebraeorum Gynaecaeo. Bucher discusses the legal status of women in Greece, the Bible, among the ancient Jews, and in the ancient world.
