Hasidic and kabbalistic commentary of the Torah.
R. Hayyim Zevi b. Hananiah Yom Tov Lipa Teitelbaum (c.1880–1926), was born in Sighet. He was rabbi and zaddik in Sighet and suceeded his father as Rebbe upon his passing. He had many desciples who sought his blessings and advise. R. Hayyim Zevi wrote Azei Hayyim on the Torah and the festivals (in three parts, 1927–34); responsa Azei Hayyim (in two parts, 1939); and Azei Hayyim, on tractate Gittin (1939). |
