Description		    Fascinating Yiddish novel of a young child and his adventures. Illustrated by Aaron Goldman.

Leon Elba (1879-1928) was born in Minsk. His father Bezalel Bassein sent him to local Rebbes for elementary education. At age 21 he was drafted by Czar and served several years in the Army. He arrived in New York in 1904 where he joined "The Yiddishe Quall" as editor. He died at age 49 from a long term illness.
