Detailed Description |
|
Commentary on the query of the wise son in the Passover Haggadah.by R. Solomon (Zalman) ben Judah Zonitzki. The title page states that it is Teshuvah ka-Halakhah from one knows “law and judgment” (Esther 1:13). The bottom half of the title page is in Cyrillic letters. There is an introduction from the author (3-5) where he begins by noting the antiquity of the Haggadah, but that due to the iniquities of our times we merely read the haggadah without amplifying our discussion as is required. He has therefore, as is his practice every year, taken from Scriptures, Talmud, and other works. Many places in the Haggadah require commentary. On Pesah in 1911 he expounded to those who were at his table on the response to the question of the wise son. Teshuvah ka-Halakhah is that commentary, based on numerous sources. The text is in a single column in square letters. Teshuvah ka-Halakhah has been attractively rebound with the front page of its original wrappers, which is pink. |
