Description
   Addressed to the Agudat ha-Rabonim in New York concerning an orphans' charity.

R. Abraham Dover b. Soloman Zalman Kahana-Shapiro (1870-1943). was born in Kobrin on Yom Kippur. R. Hayyim Volozhiner's descendant, R. Abraham Dover was an erudite scholar with a keen mind and as young man in the Volozhin Yeshiva earned the title the “Kobrin Prodigy”. He was the last Rabbi of Kovno and passed on in the Slobodka Ghetto on the Sabbath, Adar A 22nd , 5703. His responsa Dvar Abraham has been published in three volumes (Warsaw, Pietrekov, New York 1906-46), a homile on family purity, held at the Congress of "Bet-Jakob", the Union Jewish Women in Lithuania, on the 2nd day of Chanukkah, 5696 has also been published.
