Description		    The Midrash is rabbinic literature constituting an anthology and compilation of homilies, consisting of both biblical exegesis and sermons delivered in public as well as aggadot or halakhot and forming a running aggadic commentary on specific books of the Bible. The midrash has served as fodder of every rabbi's sermon since its compliation.

The Midrash Tehilim contains interpretations and short homilies on 143 Psalms. It is chiefly a compilation of sayings related to the verses of the Psalms scattered throughout the Agadah, but it also contains some original material. The Midrash Mishlei is more in the form of an Aggadic commentary to the Midrash and contains sayings, parables, proverbs, and homiletic interpretations on each chapter. Midrash Shmuel contains 32 chapters, 24 on Samuel I and eight on II.

בראשי העמודים: מדרש תהלים. מדרש משלי. מדרש שמואל. על-פי פראג שע"ג, בהשמטת פירוש האלפא ביתא. ראינו טופס עם מדבקה בשולי השער: זאת לדעת. כל מקום שנדפס כאן שם עכו"ם... קאי רק על אותן האומות שהי' בזמן הבית...
