R. Jacob b. Mattathias ha-Kadosh ("the holy Mattathias") (c.1769-1851), was a rabbi and dayyan in Fez. One of seven children, his rulings survive in manuscript. The Serero family were Spanish scholars who settled in Fez after the Expulsion, bringing their considerable library with them;
R. Jacob b. Solomon Samuel Ibn Zur (c.1780-1850) was a dayyan in Fez and signed Yavetz, his rulings survive in manuscript;
R. Jedidiah b. Raphael Aaron Monsonego (d.1867), rabbi and kabbalist, authored over 40 works in Halacha, kabbalah, and liturgy all still in manuscript;
R. Rahamim Hayyim David Ibn Zimra, (d. 1848), rabbinical scholar and dayyan in Fez;
R. Vidal Zarfati (1797-1856) rabbinical scholar and dayyan in Fez, many of his rulings survive in manuscript.
