The book reads from left to right and has Hebrew and Cyrillic title pages followed by an introduction in both languages on facing pages. The Hebrew introduction begins that the majority of Jews who dwell in Russia know somewhat the official language. However, they do not know it well nor are they able to read or write it. This book is intended to provide them with fluency. Fourteen steps are outlined in the first part of the book; the second part is a style manual, extending to poetry. The book begins with the alphabet and styles of writing, pronunciation, and moves through grammatical forms. The second part has material in the form of essays. Everything is in both Hebrew and Cyrillic. At the end of the volume is an index in Cyrillic and a two sided bi-lingual fold out.
