Detailed Description |
|
Seeking assistance for the immigration of a disciple's wife to Israel so that she may join her lonely husband. The content expresses the Chief Rabbi and Rosh ha-Yeshiva of Nitra's strong longing for the ultimate Messiah.
R. Samuel David Ungar (1886-1945) was educated in prominent European Yeshivas and served in the Rabbinate of several major communities. In 1918 he accepted the position in Nitra, where he established a major Yeshiva, and served till his brutal execution by the Nazis. His children re-established the Yeshiva after the Holocaust in Mt. Kisco New York.
