Description		    First Ladino edition. Frontpiece, 94, [2] pp., plus extra title wrappers, light age staining, wide crisp margins, frontispiece contains portrait of the author. A very good copy bound as published.

Description		    "The Enemy": play in three acts, based on "צורר היהודים" [Tzorer haYehudim = Enemy of the Jews], by Mordecai David Brandstaedter, originally published in the Hebrew literary periodical ,השחר [HaShakhar], edited by Peretz Smolenskin.

Abraham Aaron Cappon lived in Bulgaria. He was born in Bucharest in 1853 and died in Sarajevo in 1931. He was involved with most of the Ladino newspapers published in Bulgaria and was an active Zionist (Gaon, p. 746-747). The last leaf of this book contains a list of his works, of which this book was the first.
