|
R. Joshua b. Abraham Joseph Greenwald (1909-1969) was born in Hust, Hungary. With a keen mind he was educated in major yeshivot to a reknown scholar. As a young man he was appointed rabbi of Ungvar and subsequently Hust. He wrote Imrot Tehorot (Ungvar 1940) on the laws of mikvah and Hesed Yehoshu'ah (New York 1948-1969, 4 vols.) responsa and novellae on various topics. He was buried in Jerusalem. |
