Detailed
Description
Proofs for the divine origin of the Torah by R. Samuel ben Shraga Feivel Rosenblum. In it are explained true and clear wonders, based on earlier works and the necessity that the Torah is a heavenly work, and the truth of our holy Torah given by the living God as a heritage to the Jewish people. The verso of the title page has the censor’s (B. Cymerman) permission to print. Below it is the disclaimer concerning confusing earlier heathens with contemporary gentiles. There is a second title page which states that the work is divided into two parts. The first explains many wondrous things from the perspective of intelligence, from other works and writers, on both the possibility and necessity that the Torah is a heavenly work. Among the sources employed are the works of earlier sages, Maimonides, the Kuzari of Judah ha-Levi, Hovot ha-Levavot of R. Bahya, the Ikkarim of R. Joseph Albo, Tiferet Yisrael from the Maharal of Prague, and many other works.

Part two deals with the wonders accompanying the giving of the Torah to Moses, his own testimony, and the commandments. Also included in this part are miraculous deeds about our earlier sages. There are approbations from R. Jacob Zevi ben Gameliel of Nikolsberg, R. ZeviHirsch Kalischer, and R. Solomon Plesner of Berlin followed by R. Rosenblum’s introduction and a preface. Part one is comprised of twelve chapters, part two of twenty seven chapters. Appended to the end of Ma’amar Torah min Ha-Shama’im is Emek Yehospat and Mehadora Basra.
