Description		    Several stories translated to Ladino by R. Isaac Farhi. Includes the story of the Sambatyon River, a legendary river across which part of the Ten Tribes were exiled by the Assyrian king, Shalmaneser, and which rests on the Sabbath. This characteristic of the Sambatyon prevents the Ten Tribes from leaving their place of exile since they could not cross the river during the six days of the week, and though it rests on the seventh day, the restrictions on travel on the Sabbath renders the crossing equally impossible.

R. Isaac b. Solomon Farhi (1782-1853), was a Jerusalem native and the author of Tuv Yerushalayim (Jerusalem, 1842), Zekhut ha-Rabbim (Constantinople, 1829), Imrei Binah (Bilagrado, 1837), Zekhut u-Mishor (Smyrna, 1850), Zuf Devash (Leghorn, 1849), Shevet Mishor (Belgrade, 1837), Matok la-Nefesh (Constantinople, 1828), Marpe la-Ezem (Constantinople, 1830), Musar Haskel (Constantinople, 1830), and Minei Metikah (Leghorn, 1848); sermons for the Sabbath.

"ספר מעשה רב ונורא... על הרב משה גאלאנטי, על מה שאירע לו עם השיח'. ונלמד מוסר גדול שלא לשאת שם ה' לבטלה. ו[גם] איגרת בני משה". בלאדינו. דף א,ב-ז: מעשה דיל שיך. סיפור על הרב גאלאנטי והשיח', מתוך ספר "מתוק מדבש" מאת ר' יצחק פרחי, ירושלים תר"ב. כנראה המדובר בר' משה בן מרדכי גאלאנטי מדמשק, בעל ספר ברך משה, ליוורנו תקס"ט. דף ח-טו: מעשה די בני משה. "איגרת בני משה" שנשלחה מעבר לנהר סמבטיון, בלאדינו. נדפסה לראשונה בעברית בספר מעשה נסים מאת ר' משה אדרעי, אמשטרדם תקע"ח, ואחר כך כמה פעמים. לא ברור מאיזו הוצאה תורגם ללאדינו. דף [1]: "מעשה מהרב זרע יצחק". סיפור על ר' יצחק חיות בעל ספר זרע יצחק (פראנקפורט דאדרה תצ"ב). נדפס בעברית בשם "אגרת קץ חי" (טשרנוביץ תרכ"ב). המתרגם ועורך הקובץ הוא כנראה המדפיס רודיטי. אותיות רש"י.
