Responsa and discourses by R. Zevi Hirsch ben Abraham Isaac Rom. Eretz Zevi is comprised of two parts, each with its own title-page, both parts pagination, both present here. The first framed title-page sates that it is part one, in which are explained different subjects in the manner of pilpul. There are approbations from R. Raphael Yom tov Lipman Heilperin, R. Joeph ben Raphael [Sakovitz] and R. Bezalel ben Israel Moses ha-Kohen, and R. Saul Zelig ha-Kohen. This is followed by the author’s introduction and then twelve varied responsa, beginning with a woman who vows to fast on yom tov, if her vow is a valid vow, followed by, if a six year old finds a lulav and esrog and wishes to give it to as a gift to the kahal and if one is given to him on the first day of yom tov, followed by two discourses. Part two is comprised of discourses in the manner of mussar. It is comprised of eight discourses, beginning with Yesod ha-Emunah and an addenda to the last discourse in part one. At the end of the volume are errata and the names of sponsors of publication arranged by location.
