Only edition of these novelae on mesecta Pesahim by R. Moses ben Joshua Isaac Shapira. There are two title-pages, both with ornate frames. The first title-page states that it is part one of these novella, and has Cyrillic at the bottom; the second states that it is based on Rashi, Tosafot, based on deep pilpul and sevarot. It explains many deep subjects and halakhot in many places in the Talmud. There is an approbation from R. Joshua Isaac ben Jehiel Shapira, the author’s father, a brief introduction, followed by a lengthier forward, and then the text.

R. Moses Shapira’s father was R. Joshua Isaac ben Jehiel (Eizel Harif) av bet din successively at Kalvarija, Kutno, Tiktin, and, finally, Slonim and author of (1) Emek Yehoshua (1942), in two parts: part 1 – 24 responsa on the Shulḥan Arukh; part 2 – 16 occasional homilies; (2) Naḥalat Yehoshu'a (1851), in two parts: part 1 – responsa on several halakhot and various subjects, (5) Sefat ha-Naḥal (1859), homilies and comments on aggadot in the Babylonian and Jerusalem Talmuds; (6) Aẓat Yehoshu'a (1868), commentary on the questions asked by the "sages of Athens" (Bek. 8b); (7) Marbeh Eẓah (1870), commentary on the aggadic statements of Rabbah bar Ḥana; and (8) Marbeh Tevunah (1872).
