Detail Description

Only edition of this three part work of discourses and novellae by R. Jacob Meir ben Elijah Spielman (1813-1888) rabbi in Bucharest and Sarajevo. The title-page describes the contents as Binah Ya’akov, eighteen discourses, the second work is Divrei Meir, pipulei harifta, and the third part is Tal Orot, clarifying complexities in the first two parts. The title-page informs that R. Jacob Meir was also the author of Nqahalat Ya’akov ve-Avnei Gazis and Tal Orot, printed previously in 1875.There is an introduction from the author followed by the text. The discourses are on emunah, Torah, mishpat, and teshuvah. The second part are novella on various tractates beginning with Berakhot and concluding with Niddah. A rare varied multi-part work.
