Detailed Description:   

Letter by R. Benjamin b. Solomon Zalman Ullman of Volka (1847-1931 or 1933) to his father the author of Yeriot Shlomo. He was born in Makov and studied with his illustrious fater and in the Yeshiva of the Ktav Sofer. R. Benjamin edited his father's work and bought it to press.

The letter contains novellae to tractate Makot and was written when he was in his early twenties. He also addresses his siblings with short paragraphs to each.

 

Hebrew Description:   

הגאון רבי בנימין אולמאן מוואלקא (תר"ז-תרצ"א, החת"ס ותלמידיו עמ' תפג). נולד במאקווא לאביו הגאון רבי שלמה זלמן אולמאן, האב"ד דמאקווא, למד אצל מרן ה"כתב סופר". הוציא לאור ספרו של אביו "יריעות שלמה" על סוגיות הש"ס.
