Revised edition. 67 [i.e. 63], [1] ff., quarto, 195:167 mm., usual light age staining. A good copy bound in contemporary boards, rubbed.
   

Detail Description

Laws of Hebrew grammar. The colophon states the work to have been printed in Basle. Prijs conclusively disproves this statement, and proposes Frankfurt as the place of press. With the approbation of R. Yom Tov Lipman Heller.

הכולל כל עניני דקדוק לשון הקדש ... וגם סביב ... הביאור, לפרש ... בטעמים חדשים ... בחכמה הזאת ... ואל כל אלה ... נתחבר ... ספר ברית הלוי, אשר בו נכללו כל מלות המורכבות והמסופקות שבכל תורה ונביאים וכתובים ... כל אלה חברו יחדיו ע"י ... ר' יצחק בן מוהר"ר שמואל הלוי היושב בשבת תחכמוני ... בק"ק פוזנן ... עם ההסכמות מן ההוצאה הראשונה. בעמוד האחרון: התנצלות המגיה ... שאין אדם ... אשר יעשה מלאכת הדפוס ולא יחטא. ובפרט המגיה בספר שאינו מוגה כהלכתו כמוני היום. שספר הראשון אשר היה נדפוס [!] פה ק"ק פראג היתה ג"כ מלא טעות ... כ"ד ... איש אשר שמו נודע בשערים. בשולי השער: נדפס פה קק באזיליא. ואין זה נכון.
