R. Moses Aryeh b. Israel Freund (1894 – 1996), Chief Judge of the Eidah in Jerusalem. He was born in the Hungarian town of Honiad, where his father served as av bet din. His mother, Sarah, was a daughter of R. Zev Goldberger, the Rav of Honiad. He was a descendant of the Rema, the Maharshal, the Shakh, and the Bet Yosef. At the age of 16 he married the daughter of R. Baruch Goldberger, a distant relation.

Before WW II, he served as rosh yeshiva in Hungarian town of Satmar (Satu Mare, Romania). The Nazis arrested him and his entire family in 1944. The family was deported to Auschwitz, where only R. Moses Aryeh survived; his wife and all of his nine children perished at the hands of the accursed Nazis.

In 1951 he moved to Jerusalem, where he became the Rav of the Satmar community. In 1979, he was elected av bet din of the Eidah, a position which he held until his passing. He wrote Ateres Yehoshua, and he himself was also referred to with this name occasionally. He left no children.

R. Israel Moses Dushinsky (d. 2003), Admor of Dushinsky, Head (גאב"ד) of the Eidah Bet Din, and head of the Beth Joseph Zevi Institutions in Jerusalem founded by his father R. Joseph Zevi Dushinsky. Also known as the Maharim, he was the second Rebbe of the Dushinsky Hasidic dynasty of Jerusalem, Israel. He assumed the leadership of the Hasidut at the age of 28 upon the death of his father, R. Yosef Tzvi Dushinsky, founder of the dynasty. He was also a member of the rabbinical court of the Edah HaChareidis for over 40 years, completing his tenure as the seventh chief rabbi of the Edah HaChareidis from 1996 to 2003.

Yisroel Moshe Dushinsky was the only child of Rabbi Yosef Tzvi Dushinsky and his second wife, Esther Neuhaus. His father was over 50 years old at the time of his birth. Yisrael Moshe was born in Chust, Ukraine, shortly after his father began serving as Rav of that city. He was named after his paternal grandfather, Yisroel, and his great uncle the Maharam Schick.

R. Abraham David b. Solomon Judah Zalman Lieb Horowitz (1912-2004) the Chief Rabbi of Strasbourg and later the Ravad of the Eidah in Jerusalem. An erudite scholar, his responsa appear in four volumes of Kinyan Torah and numerous contemporary works and Torah journals.
