Detail Description

Only edition of these novella and responsa by R. Hayyim Ari Lev Rotenberg (1836-98), who served as a judge in Israel for forty years in the holy communities of Orlova, Zalodak, and Stovisk. There are two title-pages, with like text, except that the first title-page has Cyrillic text and the second title page informs that Penei ha-Ari ha-Hai was published posthumously by his students. There are ap[robations from R. Hayyim Meizels av bet din Lodz and R. Isaac Blauser previously rav in Petrograd.There is, “in place of an introduction” a preface from R. Hezkia Joseph Isaac of Skaikia so of the author. The first part of the text, entitled Mishan Lehem (staff of bread) are detailed responsa on all four parts of the Shulhan Aruch by R. Rotenberg, followed by Peuloz Zadsdik, with a separate title-page, six discourses by R. Rotenberg on selected parashat from the Torah.
