Only edition. Title in facsimile, 51, 53-60; [2], 60 ff., folio, 307:195 mm., nice margins, usual age staining, final 2 ff with small loss, bound in later half vellum and marbled paper boards.

 

Detail Description

R. Benjamin Ze'ev Wolf b. Samuel (d. c. 1718), Rabbi and preacher in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. He officiated as darshan in Semigrod, and later in Dessau, and in his old age lived at Metz. Romaner was the author of "'Ir Binyamin," a work in two parts on the haggadot of the two Talmudim (part i., Frankfort-on-the-Oder, 1698; part ii., Fürth, 1722).

מהקדמת המחבר: "לא נתקיימה מחשבתי להביא לבית הדפוס על כל חלק השני מה שהניח לי מקום ... ר’ יאשיהו פינטו ז"ל, שלא חיבר רק על חלק הראשון [מאור עינים, אמשטרדם ת"ג] ... ואף בחיבורי זה קיצרתי במקום שהיה לי להאריך ואף בלשון הגמרא שהבאתי קיצרתי וסמכתי על היודע". ‬

עיר בנימן שני והוא חיבור ... על אגדות תלמוד ירושלמי [זרעים-מועד] אשר כבר יצא ראשון ...
