Detailed Description   

Commentary on Genesis and Exodus by R. Jehiel Aikhel. The title page informs that R. Aikhel of Malitz was the foremost student of the Rav, the zaddik of Lublin, and of the holy magid of Koznitz, of the Rav, the zaddik of Riminov, and of the Rav, the zaddik of Apta. Magid Tehilot was brought to press by the author’s grandson, R. David Aikhel. The verso of the title page has an introduction by Aikhel followed by approbations by several prominent rabbis. The text is in two columns in rabbinic type, excepting headers and initial words which are in square letters. Magid Tehilot is a Hasidic commentary with much peshat and gematriot. This, the first edition, is rare and not in the libraries of many major collections of Hebraica.
