Detailed Description   

First edition of this Judeo-Arabic (Ladino) edition of Hebrew verse and piyyutim translated by R. Reuben Elijah Israel. The full title is Ṭraduksion Libre de 35 Poezias Ebraikas de Rosh ha-shanah Kipur i Seliḥot. The entire work is set in Hebrew letters. The title-page appears after some introductory verse and then the text, all set in rabbinic letters except for headers which are in Hebrew and set in unvocalized square letters. The text encompasses prayers for Selihot, each day of Rosh Ha-Shanah, Yom Kippur, Viduii and Musaf, and selections from Psalms. Ṭraduksion Libre de 35 Poezias Ebraikas was prepared as a work for religious instruction in the Bet ha-Sefer ha-Yehudim in Ladino. It was reprinted in 1924. It is not recorded by Friedberg in the Bet Eked Seforim.

"תרגום חופשי של השירים העבריים של ראש השנה וכפור, מאת ראובן אליהו ישראל". בלאדינו.
עמ' [3-2]: הקדמת המתרגם. קראייוב'ה, אדר שני תר"ע.
הספר נדפס באותה שנה בלאדינו באותיות לאטיניות, 1910 CRAIOVA. מסתבר שההוצאה הנוכחית נעשתה בעקבות אותה הוצאה, ואולי נדפסו שתי ההוצאות בו זמנית בשנת תר"ע.
בהוצאה הנוכחית, מלבד תרגום הפיוטים וקטעי סליחות, נוסף גם תרגום של שלושה פרקי תהלים (כ"ד, פ"א, וק"ל) הנאמרים בראש השנה וביום כיפור.
עמ' [3-1] בסוף הספר: באורי מלים קשות בלאדינו.
בשנת תרפ"ד, יעקב רפאל מאיסטרו, "שוחט אי חזן שני" של הקהילה הספרדית בעיר שומלה, בולגאריה, הדפיס את החוברת הנוכחית, כמעט דף-על-דף. שמו של ראובן אליהו ישראל נשמט מאותה הוצאה.
