Detailed Description:   

Only edition of these halakhic novellae on the Shulhan Arukh Even ha-Ezer by R. Moses ben Solomon ha-Levi. The title-page states that this is the first part on the Shulhan Arukh Even ha-Ezer although it appears that no additional parts were published. It also informs that the subject matter of this volume are halkhot applicable to “being fruitful and multiplying” (S.A. E. ha-E. 1:16) and marital relations. R. Moses ben Solomon’s distinguished lineage is noted. The title-page is followed by approbations form several distinguished rabbis, among them R. Solomon Kluger, R. Dov Berush of Lublin and several others. There is an introduction from the author and then the text, which is comprised of the Shulhan Arukh in the center with the extensive and detailed commentary entitled Pilpul Halakhah around it in the margins. At the end of the volume are kuntresim. Bet Moshe is a comprehensive and invaluable work on the subject and invaluable to anyone concerned with these halkhot. There are copies of Bet Moshe in which the author’s name is lacking from the tile-page. This volume has the author’s name on the title-page.

רוב הטפסים חסר בהם מקום הדפוס, שמו של המדפיס והתאריך. בטפסים שיש בהם דפוסת נדפס בשער התאריך: 1848. תאריך זה אינו נכון.

מההקדמה עולה שהמחבר החל לחבר את הספר הנוכחי לא לפני שנת תר"י, וההקדמה עצמה נכתבה בשנת תרט"ו. ההסכמות הן מן השנים תר"ו-תרי"ג. לפיכך נראה שהספר נדפס בערך בשנת תרט"ו.
