Only edition. [2], 37, [1] ff., folio, 356:218 mm., usual age staining, wide margins. A good copy loose in contemporary marbled boards, rubbed and split.

 

Detailed Description:   

Novellae to Tractate Yevamoth.

The author (1850-1930), was appointed Chief Rabbi of St. Petersburg in 1908, a position he held until his death. Due to the respect he received from the authorities, R. Katzenellenbogen was allowed to print this text, one of the very last traditional works of Hebrew scholarship published under the new Communist regime.

 

Hebrew Description:

הדושים וביאורים על מסכת יבמות מאתי דוד טעבלי קצינלינבוגן בלא"א... ר' נפתלי הירץ (בהרב... מו"ה אריה ליב האבד"ק טאווריג) זלה"ה אב"ד דק"ק פטרבורג.

שמו של המדפיס באותיות קיריליות. הוספה לספר זה נדפסה בתוך ספרו: דברי דוד.
