Varied ethical discourses with kabbalsitic content arranged according to the seasons (festivals) of the year by R. Abraham Baruch Alter ben Judah Abraham Avir Rosenberg. The title-page informs that Imre Aba is ethical teachings based on rabbinic midrashim in a straight forward manner based on the Sefer Year’im, and with kabbalistic content from the Zohar and writings of the Ari. The subject matter encompasses festivals: Pesah, Lag be-Omer,Shavu’ot, Sukkah, Hanukkah, and Purim. There are approbations from R. Ezekiel Panet, R. Israel, and R. Benjamin Polks, followed by a detailed listing of the discourses. Then introductions entitled Seder kabbalat Ol Malkut Shema’im, and a lengthy introduction entitled Ahavt ha-Torah. Next are the discourses, beginning with Hag ha-Pesach, with six dissertations, the last entitled Hut ha-Meshleshes with two additional homilies on shenei sel Pesah and Shevei shel Pesah. At the end of the volume is an alphabetic listing by location of the individuals who supported publication of Imre Aba.
