Wedding poem on the marriage of Gabriel Kohen Porto and Simha Gerondi by R. Isaiah b. Joseph Romanin (d. 1765) Italian rabbi and composer. R. Romanin was a member of R. Moses Hayyim Luzzatto's (Ramhal) secret circle and approbations from him appear in other works. He apparently served for a period of time as rabbi of Pesaro (1759?) and Lugo where he passed on. A brilliant talmudic scholar much of his prose has not survived except two published works and several broadsides printed as wedding gifts.
