Detail Description

Only edition of these halakhic novellae on the Shulhan Arukh Orah Hayyim by R. Aaron David ben Moses Bakshet. The title-page informs that the text is arranged according to the order of the Hayei Adam and that R. Aaron David served in the rabbinate of Liobtish for more than thirty years. Peolot Adam was brought to press by his son-in-law R. Zalman Katzergiski from Vilna. The title-page is followed by R. Aaron David’s son-in-law and a letter (approbation) from R. Isaac ben Hayyim of Volozhin. These are followed by the introduction of son R. Hayyim Eleazer, the author’s son, errata, and R. Aaron David’s introduction, errata, and then an index of the halakhot novella comprising the text of Peolot Adam. The text is organized into one hundred fifty-four kellalim, the last on hilkhot Hanukkah, and concluding with a lengthy addenda in hilkhot Yom Tov. A detailed scholarly work.
